Adrian…the 5 1/2″ bbl length is a traditional length for the Colt SAA. A lot of people like it as an all-around length for hunting and general carry.

Great peice on these two Colts, cannot wait until we hear how they shoot. Why do they have the 5 1/2 inch barrel, most will go for the shorter one and a few for the long. I can only see it being used for hunting?
