Randy, it doesn’t get any better than that. We just don’t need magnums for 98% of what we do. If a fellow can shoot, he can kill game.

Thanks for the great article Jim on the 7×57 Mauser. My first “real rifle” at 12. It was a ’98 Venezualian Carbine. My dad picked it up at OTASCO for $28.00. That was almost 2 months wages as a paperboy. Then he helped me glass bed a Fajin Manlicher stock, and install a Timney trigger. Still a favorite Truck gun. Learned to reload on that caliber also.

I agree 100% IMR 4320,and 4350 are my powders of choice for this cartridge.
